Tom is the star of Captain Phillips (12A), Wardington Village Cinema’s next film night to take place on Friday 6th June – doors open 7.15pm with the screening to start promptly at 8pm.  Usual format – please bring your own drinks and nibbles and we will supply a complimentary choc-ice during the interval.

The film focuses on the relationship between the Alabama’s commanding officer, Captain Richard Phillips, and the Somali pirate captain, Muse, who takes him hostage. Phillips and Muse are set on an unstoppable collision course when Muse and his crew target Phillips’ unarmed ship; in the ensuing standoff, 145 miles off the Somali coast, both men will find themselves at the mercy of forces beyond their control.

Captain Phillips will be our last screening before we break for the summer to return in the Autumn with a new programme, with film nights to take place on the second Friday of each month.
