Pattern of Sunday Services

As already announced in Church, this month sees a change in the pattern of the Sunday services aimed at spreading the more highly attended services more evenly across the month.

The Family Service remains on the first Sunday and will continue to be taken by Sue Upton with the usual time for refreshments and a chat after the service. The Family Communion service will now be on the third Sunday and will usually be taken by the Vicar, Hilary Campbell. This shorter Communion service will have a more family friendly and less formal approach. A theme will be introduced for each month which will provide a link between these two services both of which will be at 10.00am.

The said Holy Communion, using the Book of Common Prayer, will continue unchanged on the fourth Sunday at 8.30am and, again, will usually be taken by the Vicar.

The United Benefice Service which rotates around the five Churches in the Benefice will now be on the second Sunday at 10.00am with next time in Wardington being in July.

It is hoped that the alterations to the pattern of the two family orientated services will offer more practical and flexible ways for people to take part in church worship on a Sunday.
