Culworth Road, Chipping Warden closure 13 July 2026

Please find full details of this closure in the attached notice.  As you may know, part of the HS2 railway design a section of Culworth Road in Chipping Warden will be permanently closed.  This is scheduled to take place from Monday 13 July 2026.

Please be aware that there is no-through-route from Welsh Road to Chipping Warden village via Culworth Road.  Access to Chipping Warden village will be via the A361 to the west of the village.

 

Wardington / Edgcote Road open to the public

I’m please to confirm that Wardington/Edgcote Road is now open to traffic..  The road connects Welsh Road to the A361 through Wardington Village.

Please note that there is a plant crossing near the viaduct, is in the same location as before the closure. This is a traffic light-controlled crossroad between the public road and HS2 internal site roads.
