It is with great sadness that we read in the latest edition of the Warbler of the ridiculous complaint from within our community about the apparent noise from the recent Hare and Hounds Music Festival, sadly resulting in the cessation of this fabulous annual fun and charity event after so many successful years.

We as Upper Wardington residents could not even discern the music coming from the Have and Hounds on the evening of the complaint.

We had enjoyed the Hare and Hounds music festival on the previous day and have enjoyed the music, camaraderie and relaxed atmosphere of the music and beer festival over many years. This has become a fabulous social event for the community of Wardington and the many loyal customers and friends of the Hare and Hounds.

Carol, Jamie, Pat and everyone involved are to be congratulated on creating such professional, fun and amazing fundraising weekends over the years.

The annual Hare and Hounds music and beer festival had been well publicised and should not have been a surprise or concern to anyone in our community. What next… complain to get the Fairport Convention Festival in Cropredy closed due to its noise and traffic.. its only been going nearly 40 years!

Shame on the small minded, pompous individuals who are intent to wreck yet another social event for the benefit of the community of Wardington. Such actions are anti-social and deplorable.

Lets hope that this is not the end of this great event for Wardington.
