1. SEVERE WEATHER ACTION PLAN
It was agreed to put together an emergency action plan for bad weather based on the snow guide leaflet recently issued by OCC This would include information whereby the needy and vulnerable could be identified and a tractor/4×4 requested for snow clearance in an emergency. Clerk to organise.
2. A361 FLOOD ALLEVIATION SCHEME
A new TEMPORARY bus service timetable has now been received by the clerk and will be issued in due course to notice boards and Email. This will be effective from 21st March – 9th July when the A361 is scheduled for closure for the road raising work and bus service will be re-routed via Cropredy and the Bourtons. Details of the closure arrangements have been published in this month’s village newsletter.
3. PROJECTS UPDATE – PROGRESS/CONSERVATION AREA
Conservation area concerns re proposed work on the Old Pool Area are being explored with CDC Planning.
4. FINANCE
Precept for 2011-12 to remain at £10,000.
5. PLAYGROUND
New log trail now installed and has been checked by CDC re completion of an equipment grant.
6. POLICE N.A.G.
Group still looking at anti-social behaviour and speeding. Speed surveys to be carried out in Wardington with the police and local volunteers. The police and CDC are encouraging people to contact them regarding any anti-social behaviour. Members of the Banbury rural police team will be available to meet with people and discuss any concerns on Thursday 3rd March between 5-6pm outside Wardington Memorial Hall.
7. PARISH ELECTIONS 5TH MAY 2011
Anyone wishing to stand as a Parish Councillor is entitled to do so and nomination papers together with guides and posters will be available soon from CDC. Persons wishing to stand must be nominated/seconded and witnessed and the deadline for nominations is 8th April. Please contact the Clerk if you wish to put your name forward for the election on 5th May.
