Please be reminded that the Sports Field is privately owned and the use of it is currently for the benefit and enjoyment of villagers, kindly given previously by Lord and Lady Wardington and currently by the family members who are the owners.
Dog fouling is now a very serious issue and a health hazard within the sports field.
Most responsible dog owners clean up after pets who have fouled and dispose of it appropriately e.g. in the Dog Bin provided by the council at the entrance to the field at Corner Mount.
Some others do not.
PLEASE respect and enjoy this generously donated facility and ensure that whoever takes your dog out, cleans up the mess and disposes of it accordingly.
Thank you very much for your consideration.

All enquiries regarding the useage of the sports field should be sent to myself in the first instance
At first I thought this post was not worth a response, but after seeing the ridiculous white sign that has been erected at the Corner Mount Gate to the sports field I feel I must say something.
In the forty years of owning a dog and living in Wardington I have never been lectured to about dog fouling or who’s land belongs to who, but you have managed to do this in one fell (foul) swoop, may I make a suggestion that in your new found position of Owners Representative, you do not become a Jobs Worth and please respect the many dog owners of this village and maybe monitor the dog owners who drive and park at the top gate of the sports field, these people do not live in the village, they are only here to run and walk their dogs on the sports field.
And take down the ridiculous sign before someone thinks that we may need more signs telling us what to do.
