Temporary Traffic Regulation Order – S14 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Temporary Road Closure – Wardington – Church Street
A request has been received from Optimise (Water) LLP for a temporary road closure to apply to the whole of Church Street, Wardington whilst essential new water service connections works are carried out.
A temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being made to implement the temporary closure and will operate from 14 October 2013. The estimated duration of the works programme is 3 days.
(The maximum duration of such a temporary closure is 18 months or until completion of the works whichever is the earlier.)
Notice of intention to make the Order will be published in the local press.
Access will not be maintained through the works.
PDF map of closure details Council poster Word document.
Please note that road closures are generally signed from junction to junction. This is to deter drivers from driving right up to the works site and then having to reverse or make tight turns. We are, though, very aware that drivers often ignore signage, both permanent and temporary, and increasingly they just follow their Satnavs!
Further information regarding the works may be obtained by contacting Dave Preece of Optimise on 07884 474309.
With thanks
