For those who didn’t manage to attend the HS2 action meeting in the Memorial Hall this evening, a copy of the slides can be accessed by clicking here.
All are encouraged to write to our MP, Victoria Prentis, to express our collective concern about the impact of HS2 construction traffic on Wardington and the A361 in general. Her email address is victoria.prentis.mp@parliament.uk.
Please keep any eye on the new HS2 page on this website.
We did not attend the meeting as we no longer live in the village, but have a nostalgic interest in the welfare and future of the village. I hope quite a few people attended. Just been looking through the slide presentation. Rather wondered what the final slide had to do with the presentation? Certainly nothing to do with Wardington. Looked a bit like Science Fiction for an “ideal happy future”.
After speaking with Victoria Prentis this morning I understand a meeting with the Parish Council is in place for June. She says she was contacted by Nigel Bankes earlier in May, and wrote back to him immediately saying she would be delighted to come along and speak with the Parish Council. Will this be a meeting the Wardington residents can attend?
