Harvest Supper, Saturday 30th September 2017

The 2017 Harvest Supper takes place on Saturday 30th September in Wardington Memorial Hall at 7:30pm. Please join us for Cottage Pie followed by Harvest Desert Pie* and Cheese & Biscuits. All children are welcome. Buying wine from the bar supports your church. Wine brought from home will be charged £5 corkage. All proceeds from this event go to St Mary Magdalene. Tickets cost £10 for adults and £7 for OAPs and children. Cropredy Surgery Drop-in Flu Clinic 30th Sept.

Flu Jabs at Cropredy Surgery 30 September 2017 Now the summer holidays are just about over, it’s time to think about coming for your flu jab so that you can tackle the winter bugs. As usual, we are holding our Saturday morning vaccination session on 30 September between 8.30 am and 1.00 pm. If you are pregnant, aged 65+, a carer, have a BMI of 40+ or in one of the ‘at risk’ groups (asthmatic, diabetic etc.) and usually have a flu jab from us just drop in on the day. Tabby cat killed on A361

It has been reported that sadly a tabby cat was found dead on the A361 outside "Judges" this weekend. If you or anyone you know is missing this cat, we are sorry to be the bearers of bad news.

Wardington Flower, Produce & Craft Show CANCELLED

Sadly the Show, advertised in the Warbler and due to take place on Saturday September 2, is cancelled. Andrew Pearson has been taken seriously ill. Jane and Andrew do all the organising and most of the considerable work involved in running the event. They cannot now do so. Vacancy – Clerk to Wardington Parish Council

Following the retirement of Bob Jarrett, a vacancy exists for the post of Clerk to the Parish Council. If you like the idea of being involved with the village, are a good administrator and communicator and can make up to ten hours a week available, the role could appeal to you. Working in conjunction with the Chairman, responsibilities include preparing and circulating agendas and minutes from Parish Council meetings (ten a year), circulating planning applications for approval, keeping accounts, liaising with local authorities and service providers, answering correspondence, e-mails and telephone calls as they arise and generally running the Parish affairs on behalf of the Councillors. Missing cat “Duster” – £150 reward

Has anyone seen our little cat, Duster? He's neutered, 1 yr old and lost in the Wardington area. He's been missing since the end of May. He's small, completely black with yellow eyes.
