This Sunday there will be an Easter Celebration at 4.00pm at St Mary Magdalene Church. A time of worship for all ages, in the midst of the Easter season, as we continue to celebrate the joy and hope of the Easter story. We will use prayer, music, story and blessing as part of this worship, and will be joined by the Gospel Bell group http://gospelbell.com/. Gospel Bell is an ensemble of musicians and singers based in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire who play traditional Gospel songs with an uplifting spiritual edge, with choruses that everyone can join in with. Tea/coffee and refreshments will be available afterwards. Come and join us!

Ian Jones, Paramedic / Community Defibrillation Officer , South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, is giving us an opportunity to access free Basic Life Support training and training to use the village defibrillator. This is being arranged by Chipping Warden & Edgcote WI. He will be running two sessions of about 1 & 1/2 hours on Saturday 13th January. The first session is 10 am followed (if we get a good enough response) by an afternoon session at 2 pm. He can accommodate 20 people in each session. Doctors and nurses update their skills every year so even if you attended previous sessions come along- Ian is giving up his time at a weekend so lets give him an

Sadly one of the row of four lime trees in the Churchyard was recently identified as being seriously diseased with a fungus and so possibly dangerous. As a result it was felled this week. There is now a large stack of wood in the corner behind the Old School. It is in manageable lengths for anyone who wishes to collect it for further splitting and cutting down further into logs. A donation into the offertory box just inside the south door would of course be much appreciated.
