Carols on The Green – Monday 21st Dec 6pm

CAROL SINGING IN WARDINGTON - REMINDER The Friends of St. Mary Magdalene, Wardington, are pleased to announce that we will once again be staging our festive sing-song: In Upper Wardington on the Old Pool Green on Monday 21st December 2015 6.00pm – 6.45pm Carols around the brazier Mulled wine, mince pies and hot sausage rolls. We will be accompanied by the Wardington Hand-Bell Ringers   Song sheets of well-known carols will be available. Please bring along a torch and join us in celebrating the festive season.   We will be collecting money for the Friends of St Mary Magdalene to help look after our beautiful church. This Friday night Wardington Village Cinema will be screening Mr Holmes. Another new release film will be screening at the Wardington Village Cinema this November!! Wardington Village Cinema – Far from the Madding Crowd – Friday 16th October

Yes that's right - Wardington Village Cinema is showing another fantastic film! This time we are screening The recently released "Far from the Madding Crowd"  on Friday 16th October at 8pm. Based on the literary classic by Thomas Hardy, Far From the Madding Crowd is the story of independent, beautiful and headstrong Bathsheba Everdene (Carey Mulligan), who attracts three very different suitors: Gabriel Oak (Matthias Schoenaerts), a sheep farmer, captivated by her fetching willfulness; Frank Troy (Tom Sturridge), a handsome and reckless Sergeant; and William Boldwood (Michael Sheen), a prosperous and mature bachelor. This timeless story of Bathsheba’s choices and passions explores the nature of relationships and love – as well as the human ability to overcome hardships through resilience

Harvest Supper – Reminder to buy your tickets

A gentle reminder that this year's Harvest Supper is on Saturday 3rd October at 7:30pm in the Memorial Hall. Please get your tickets from Andrew & Ginny Steven, Tite Cottage in Upper Wardington, by knocking on the door, calling 01295 750765 or emailing ginny@asteven.com. Tickets are £10 for adults and £7.50 for OAPs and children. Please make cheques payable to Wardington PCC. Please note that we won't be issuing physical tickets this year. Do join the Friends of St Mary Magdalene for this very enjoyable village event. Supper is cottage pie made by the Friends, followed by apple pie and cheese and biscuits. Meet at the church at 7:15 for Pimms and canapés. Go for a main course with your allocated host. Gather for cheese and pudding (and maybe a couple of extra glasses of something) at the Memorial Hall.
