Wardington.net is a community resource and is provided at no cost by James Wild who owns the domain name and me, Andrew Steven, who provides hosting and who built the site. We're delighted that it has been so well-received by the community, however it has the potential to be much better than it currently is and to contain more and more regular content. There is a questionnaire being prepared as part of the Community Led Plan asking for your opinion about how this site could server you better and I would urge all reading this to participate when the opportunity arises. WARDINGTON SHORT MAT BOWLS CLUB

The first meeting of the newly re-formed club took place in the new Memorial Hall on 25th March where we now have twenty members and more are welcome!!! We meet throughout the year on a Monday evening at 7.30pm.  The membership is £5.00 per year with a playing fee for each evening session of £2.00 which includes tea/coffee etc.  We provide all equipment except for smooth or flat soled footwear. Thames Valley Police

A shed was broken into on the main road Wardington on Tuesday 23 May between 5pm and 11pm. A generator and pressure hose was taken. Thames Valley police remind us to always keep sheds locked and secure. Call non-emergency no. 101 if you see or hear anything suspicious. Call 999 if you witness a crime occurring. Next Charity Coffee Morning

Greenhouse Cafe at Barn Farm Plants will be holding its monthly coffee morning for Katharine House Hospice on Tuesday 28th May . 10am-11.30am. Half the sales from the cakes and coffee will go to the charity. The coffee mornings are held on the last Tuesday in the month!

LADY WARDINGTON FORMALLY RE-OPENS MEMORIAL HALL

On Friday, 3rd May, with some one hundred people from the village present, Lady Wardington declared the Memorial Hall open. Number Plates have been stolen from vehicles over the weekend of 23rd/24th March in Wardington and Claydon. Wardington Garden Club AGM

Wardington Garden Club is Celebrating its 20th Year in 2013 Founded by Lady Wardington in 1994, the Club arranges visits to gardens and other places of interest locally through the summer. A Show is planned again this September.
