Wardington Flower, Produce & Craft Show at the Memorial Hall from 2:30pm on Sunday 13th September 2015 The Committee would like to extend an invitation to everyone to come along and join in, and especially to any new villagers or to people who may not have thought about entering before. The emphasis is more on friendly competition, meeting friends and enjoying a happy day, rather than being OTT on the serious side. Cricket fun afternoon Sunday 16th August

The Wardington sports field committee was formed with the aims to restore and maintain the playing field and revive the cricket team. Everyone who uses the field will be aware that efforts are being made to achieve this, and huge thanks goes to all those who have been working there and giving their time. We need to raise funds to purchase necessary equipment, pay bills and to maintain the field, so there will be a 6 a side cricket fun afternoon on the sports field from midday to 6pm on Sunday 16th August.  The attached photos show some of the teams who have played over the years, and will be available to look at on the day. Wardington Village Fete – Manor gardens, 14th June 2-5pm

The Wardington Village Fete will be held in the Manor gardens on 14th June between 2 and 5pm. Highlights this year include: Morris Dancers Best-dressed teddy competition Highland dancing Cake stall Lots of activities Pimms Barbecue Raffle The fete is to raise money for improvements to the Memorial Hall, specifically the current project of buying new chairs. Carol Singing on the Green 22nd Dec 6pm

The Friends of St. Mary Magdalene, Wardington, are pleased to announce that we will once again be staging our festive sing-song: In Upper Wardington on the Old Pool Green on Monday 22nd December 2014 6.00pm – 6.45pm   Carols around the brazier Mulled wine, mince pies and hot sausage rolls. We will be accompanied by the Wardington Hand-Bell Ringers   Song sheets of well-known carols will be available. Please bring along a torch and join us in celebrating the festive season.   We will be collecting money for the Friends of St Mary Magdalene to help look after our beautiful church. The Friends of St. Mary Magdalene are once again organising the Harvest Supper. Please come with all your family and join in this great fun village event. Everybody is welcome, especially children! Ride and Stride on Saturday 13 September

The Ride+Stride is a fun day out for all the family that raises fund for historic churches - and St Mary Magdalene, Wardington is on the route. Ride+Stride is a sponsored bike ride or walk in which people from all over the county walk or cycle between churches, exploring and enjoying the countryside from Hook Norton to Henley, Burford to Bicester. The money raised helps to preserve some of Oxfordshire’s 650 churches, chapels and meeting houses that are at risk of falling into disrepair.
