Wardington Village Fete – Manor gardens, 14th June 2-5pm

The Wardington Village Fete will be held in the Manor gardens on 14th June between 2 and 5pm. Highlights this year include: Morris Dancers Best-dressed teddy competition Highland dancing Cake stall Lots of activities Pimms Barbecue Raffle The fete is to raise money for improvements to the Memorial Hall, specifically the current project of buying new chairs. Carol Singing on the Green 22nd Dec 6pm

The Friends of St. Mary Magdalene, Wardington, are pleased to announce that we will once again be staging our festive sing-song: In Upper Wardington on the Old Pool Green on Monday 22nd December 2014 6.00pm – 6.45pm   Carols around the brazier Mulled wine, mince pies and hot sausage rolls. We will be accompanied by the Wardington Hand-Bell Ringers   Song sheets of well-known carols will be available. Please bring along a torch and join us in celebrating the festive season.   We will be collecting money for the Friends of St Mary Magdalene to help look after our beautiful church. Harvest Supper Saturday 4th October

The Friends of St. Mary Magdalene are once again organising the Harvest Supper. Please come with all your family and join in this great fun village event. Everybody is welcome, especially children! Ride and Stride on Saturday 13 September

The Ride+Stride is a fun day out for all the family that raises fund for historic churches - and St Mary Magdalene, Wardington is on the route. Ride+Stride is a sponsored bike ride or walk in which people from all over the county walk or cycle between churches, exploring and enjoying the countryside from Hook Norton to Henley, Burford to Bicester. The money raised helps to preserve some of Oxfordshire’s 650 churches, chapels and meeting houses that are at risk of falling into disrepair. Curry Goat at the Table-top Sale

The Friends “Call My Wine Bluff” Evening, Fri 28th Feb.

Held in the Memorial Hall, the evening is a relaxed and fun quiz and tasting followed by a home-made cottage pie supper. Open to all, this is a chance to meet old friends and make new ones.
