Carol Singing on the Green 22nd Dec 6pm

The Friends of St. Mary Magdalene, Wardington, are pleased to announce that we will once again be staging our festive sing-song: In Upper Wardington on the Old Pool Green on Monday 22nd December 2014 6.00pm – 6.45pm   Carols around the brazier Mulled wine, mince pies and hot sausage rolls. We will be accompanied by the Wardington Hand-Bell Ringers   Song sheets of well-known carols will be available. Please bring along a torch and join us in celebrating the festive season.   We will be collecting money for the Friends of St Mary Magdalene to help look after our beautiful church. Harvest Supper Saturday 4th October

The Friends of St. Mary Magdalene are once again organising the Harvest Supper. Please come with all your family and join in this great fun village event. Everybody is welcome, especially children! Come and enjoy home-made Cottage Pie, followed by Apple Pie and Cheese & Biscuits. Cash bar and raffle. Raffle prizes very gratefully received. Ride and Stride on Saturday 13 September

The Ride+Stride is a fun day out for all the family that raises fund for historic churches - and St Mary Magdalene, Wardington is on the route. Ride+Stride is a sponsored bike ride or walk in which people from all over the county walk or cycle between churches, exploring and enjoying the countryside from Hook Norton to Henley, Burford to Bicester. The money raised helps to preserve some of Oxfordshire’s 650 churches, chapels and meeting houses that are at risk of falling into disrepair. Call My (Wine) Bluff 2014

The Friends of St. Mary Magdalene are pleased to announce that the very popular Call My (Wine) Bluff will be returning once again on Friday February 28th. Supported by SH Jones of Banbury, there will be six wines on the night: A glass of something to welcome you, which will be the first bluff, followed by two white wines and three red wines. Everyone will then form teams of 5 or 6, ready for the competition to begin! Each of the wines will be described by three "bluffers", but only one will be telling the truth. URGENT – CAROLS CHANGE OF VENUE TO VILLAGE HALL

Sadly the weather forecast is for heavy rain at 6pm once again this year. We will therefore move the annual Carols on the Green to the Village Hall. We will start at 6pm and mulled wine, mince pies and hot sausage rolls will be served throughout. Please tell your friends and neighbours to come to the village hall instead.

Carols on the Green – reminder

Don't forget that Carols on the Green in Upper Wardington are next Thursday, 19th December from 6 to 6:45pm. Come and join us for mince pies and sausage rolls, mulled wine and hot chocolate. The Wardington Hand Bell Ringers will be coming again this year and our regular brass players, the Mackenzie-Lawrie boys will be with us as usual. We will be collecting for the Friends of St. Mary Magdalene so please bring along all of your loose change and give as generously as you can. Our church costs over £1,000 per month to keep going and we really need your support in looking after this wonderful building in the heart of our community. Even if you're not a church-goer,
