The results of the Broadband survey conducted by Oxfordshire County Council have been collated and can be seen at https://myconsultations.oxfordshire.gov.uk/consult.ti/oxonlinepersonal/consultationHome?utm_source=Broadband+Champions&utm_campaign=3d2c1e3090-Broadband_Champs_Jan_2013&utm_medium=email.
The headline is that there were only thirteen surveys from Wardington. This puts Wardington in joint position 79 (with 5 other villages with a score of 13) out of 438 villages. Nine of the thirteen surveys were from Wardington and four were from Upper Wardington. Please only use the name Wardington in the future as there is a danger that Wardington and Upper Wardington may be considered to be two villages and as such our chances of the village being upgraded reduced.
While these figures are disappointing Wardington is roughly 18% from the top of this list, Oxfordshire County Council will be making an announcement about the procurement process for upgrading broadband in Oxfordshire late this spring.
