Although there are no village-wide plans to celebrate the Coronation, there are gatherings in the village on Saturday 6th May from 5pm to toast our new King & Queen.

If you wish to join in, please bring an umbrella, chair, picnic rug, children’s tea, cake, sandwiches, a bottle / drink and some nibbles as you wish. Everybody is welcome, there is no formality, it’s just a nice excuse for the community to get together.

Gatherings are either on School Green (outside Clive & Philippa Hunt’s house, opposite the church) or near the Old Pool in Upper Wardington (where we have the carol singing), but not underneath the trees.  There will be bunting and good cheer, weather permitting!

UPDATE: Bring an umbrella and a British attitude to the weather! The gathering in Upper Wardington will be beside the green and not underneath the trees.
