NOTICE OF MAKING OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER, HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

The Oxfordshire County Council,

Wardington Footpath No. 27 (part),

Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2018

In March 2018 the Oxfordshire County Council consulted a wide range of consultees including the Parish Council regarding a proposed diversion of the above footpath.

No objections were received to those consultations. Therefore on 8th August 2018, the Oxfordshire County Council made the above Order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The Order, if confirmed, will divert part of the public footpath as described and shown in the Order.

I have enclosed a copy of the Order and Notice publicising the Order for the parish council’s information and a statement which explains the background to the proposal, the reasons for making the Order and how objections or representations may be made.

I would be grateful if you could display the Notice and separate Order plan on your public notice board and make the Order and Explanatory Statement available for public inspection for the period Thursday 23rd August until Friday 21st September 2018 inclusive.

Please note that this is NOT a legal change to the rights of way network at this stage. Only if the Order is confirmed and comes into effect will the Definitive Map be changed.
