Hello,
My Granny Laura Buttery (born 1895) lived in Wardington as a child (one of 10 children). Her parents were Richard Buttery & Christiania (nee Wellings). Richard was head gardener at the Manor House.
We have visited Wardington Manor several times with my mother during open days etc. Mum died a couple of years ago and I would really like to find out more about the family’s life in Wardington.
Is there anyone with a keen interest in village history that might be able to shed any more light on this for me please?
They lived in one of the cottages opposite the church along the Jetty.
I know that it is a long shot, but I am keeping my Fingers crossed.
Thank you.
