Safari Supper raises over £600

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended the Safari Supper on Friday evening. The event raised a fantastic £640 for the St Mary Magdalene fabric fund, which helps maintain the Grade I listed church at the heart of our village. Thank you too to all those who generously hosted, made the delicious canapés and amazing puddings. The evening was great fun with new friends made and the Memorial Hall bar extremely well supported until last orders at 11pm. We'll be back in 2025 for another mid-summer Safari Supper!

A fantastic £656 raised at the Quiz evening

Thank you to everyone who supported the Quiz and Fish & Chips evening on Friday 26th April. It was a sell-out and everyone had a really enjoyable evening, with some great competition between the teams. Congratulation to "The Numptys" who won the prize of six bottles of rosé. The evening raised £656 which goes into the Fabric Fund of St Mary Magdalene, Wardington, our Grade I listed church, to help towards the upkeep of this wonderful building. The next Friends event will be the Safari Supper on Friday 21st June. Further details will follow soon!

URGENT: Comments for Huscote development close 19th Jan

An application for 140,000 m2 of warehousing and other commercial development off the A361 has been made and comments close on the 19th January. This is another application to cover Huscote Farm with warehouses and offices. One can assume that the developer will continue to apply time and time again until we get bored of objecting.
