Wardington Village Cinema - New Season The new season of films start again on Friday September 16th when Wardington Village Cinema will screen Eddie The Eagle. A comedy sports drama directed by Dexter Fletcher and inspired by the true life story of Michael Edwards or 'Eddie the Eagle', Britain's most famous ski jumper. Taron Egerton stars as the title character, who, with the support of his trainer Bronson Peary (Hugh Jackman) trains for and competes in the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. The first British skier to qualify for the Winter Olympics, the entirely self-funded far-sighted plasterer became an emblem for the British ability to heroically fail. If you plan to attend Wardington Village Cinema's end of season spectacular event this Saturday, please let either Sam Young (01295 750871) or Paul Bimson (01295 758855) know as soon as possible, so we can ensure enough burgers and ice-creams can be bought. The evening starts at 7pm with a Barbecue and a chance to socialise before the the film "Dad's Army" is screened at 8pm.  There will be a half time interval with free ice-creams and a raffle!

1940’s BBQ and Film Night

Wardington Village Cinema—End of Season Special Event! This end of season special event is to celebrate a third successful year of Wardington Village Cinema! Please join us at the Memorial Hall on Saturday 23rd July at 7pm to enjoy a 1940’s themed social night, with Barbecue and the newly released Film  - Dad’s Army based on the classic TV Comedy. Why not get into the spirit of the evening and dress to impress in 1940’s Fancy Dress (optional). Special ticket price includes the film and barbecue:  £6.50 for concessions and £8.50 standard.  As usual please bring your own drinks but glasses will be provided at the hall.  There will also be a raffle—donations of raffle prizes are gratefully accepted. Lots of tickets still available for Friday night’s Wardington Cinema!

This Friday (27th May) Wardington Cinema is screening  "Joy", a recent box office release staring Jennifer Lawrence and tells the true story of Joy Mangano who overcomes hardship to build a business empire. Please book your tickets now and support this village activity that relies on ticket sales to keep running.  Tickets are only £6.50 standard and £4.50 concession and include a free ice cream in the half time interval!  We have not had much uptake for this film so please get in touch with either Paul Bimson (758855) or Sam Young (750 871) or email wardingtoncinema@hotmail.com as soon as possible if you plan to attend.  

Wardington Village Cinema – Joy – Friday 27th May

Please join us on Friday 27th May when we are screening the amazing true story of Joy Magano a self-made millionaire who created her own business empire! Unfortunately due to price increases implemented on us by the screening company, the price of all tickets has had to be raised by 50p, so now Standard tickets are £6.50 and Concessions are £4.5o.  We are sorry for this, but all profits will still go back into the upkeep of the memorial hall. We look forward to seeing you all there, don't forget you are welcome to bring your own food and drink, but you also still receive a free ice cream in the half time interval!  There is also a raffle and prize

Wardington Village Cinema – Joy

On Friday May 27th Wardington Village Cinema will be screening  “Joy” - Based on a true story and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro, this brilliant fairy tale contains both comedy and drama.  It follows the life of Joy who battles adversity to rise up and become founder and matriarch of a powerful family business dynasty. The Lady in the Van – Only a few tickets left

This Saturday (March 19th) Wardington Village Cinema will be Screening "The Lady in the Van" - Alan Bennett's big screen comedic adaptation of his own iconic memoir, starring Dame Maggie Smith. There has been a lot of interest for this film, so if you plan to attend ensure you reserve a ticket without delay, by calling Paul Bimson (01295 758855) or Sam Young (01295 750871). Doors open at 7.15 pm at the Memorial Village Hall, the film will start promptly at 8.00 pm.  There will be a half time interval with free ice cream and a raffle (Raffle prize donations are gratefully accepted).
