The £25 million programme is made up of £10 million from the council, £4 million from the government and £11 million from BT. It will build on the existing commercial footprint in the county with the aim that at least 90 per cent of all premises will have access to superfast broadband speeds of 24Mbps and above by the end of 2015. There were a number of individual races for all age groups, a wellie-throwing competition, won by Mark Page, and team sports which included Dress/Undress, Egg and Spoon race and a three-legged race. Thanks go to Steve Mackenzie-Lawrie and his team for their extremely good organisation. The afternoon was designed to promote the Community-led Development Plan, an initiative sponsored by Cherwell District Council and designed to give all members of the community a say about their village and the wider community.
