Number Plates have been stolen from vehicles over the weekend of 23rd/24th March in Wardington and Claydon. Wardington Garden Club is Celebrating its 20th Year in 2013 Founded by Lady Wardington in 1994, the Club arranges visits to gardens and other places of interest locally through the summer. Elderly lady with one very small dog is looking for a house to rent or to house-sit in or around Wardington for preferably the first two weeks in July. Theft from a Barn occurred between Wednesday 9th January at 3pm and Wednesday 16th January at 12.45pm in Wardington. A large van was thought to have been used. A hedge was damaged nearby and it is thought the van drove through the hedge and across a field. A neighbour saw 2 males acting suspicious in the village on Monday one was described to have a beard. If anyone saw anything or has any information please telephone Banbury Rural Police Team on 101 with information or 999 for immediate police response.

I thought that villagers may be interested to know that there is an alternative to broadband internet via a local company called Sugarnet, based in Shenington. It works via a small dish mounted on the roof which points to a relay mast and then on to Sugarnet HQ. It is line-of-sight based and the relay mast is at Barn Farm and can be seen from the road down to Chacombe. Speed from my installation is up to 60Mbps upload and download, although my contract is set at 10Mbps, for which I pay £34.99 inc VAT per month. Faster speeds cost more! I have no incentive from Sugarnet for writing this - I'm not on commission! It's just a great service

Don't leave Christmas presents in sight through a window.
