PARISH ELECTIONS : Nomination forms had been received with Public Notices that had been published in the Parish. Deadline for nominations is 4th April. 2. SEVERE WEATHER ACTION PLAN: Progressing. 3. PLANNING: One application for tree pruning at Ashen End – No objections. 4. FLOOD ALEVIATION SCHEME - CLOSURE OF THE A361: Weight restrictions and signage now in place. Parish council, highways depts. and police are monitoring the traffic situation. Traffic Diversion concerns following closure of A361 from 28th.March

Wardington Parish Council I am now able to advise that Northamptonshire CC / OCC will finalise the erection of weight limit signage (7.5 tonnes) during the week of 21st.March. Signage will cover all exits from Daventry to Williamscot on the A361 and from Great Bourton to Fenny Compton on the A423. The A423 is the scheduled diversion for commercial vehicles leaving the M40 at Banbury for travel to Daventry via Southam.   7.5 tonnes will cover one of the bigger Transit removal vans and it should be noted that any commercial vehicle can avoid weight limit restrictions if they require business access. 1. PLANNING 10/0184/F Tuthills Ltd; Replacement Workshop buildings (see CDC Planning Portal Website for details) - Council raised No Objections, 2. A361 FLOOD ALEVIATION SCHEME AND ROAD CLOSURE A361 AND EFFECTS 1. No response had been received from Northants. (who are responsible for coordinating the works) regarding the councils concerns about traffic planning, applying a weight restriction during period of works or a timetable of works. Council are very concerned that there has been so little communication about the work. 2. 1. MATTERS ARISING : It was noted that the Geoff Amos village bus service had been reduced with the first and last buses removed. The Clerk had contacted the company who stated that it was for financial reasons due to the loss of county council subsidies and the services not being used enough to be viable without the subsidies. The clerk was to again request the salting of the bus route through the village as this was not being done and also down by the Hare where the slope is used extensively by delivery vehicles and for turning. 2. WARDINGTON PARISH COUNCIL NOTES OF A PUBLIC MEETING HELD AT THE PLOUGH P.H. WARDINGTON ON 16TH NOVEMBER 2010

TO REPORT BACK ON PROGRESS FROM THE APRIL MEETING RE CREATING A PARKING AREA ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE OLD POOL AREA WHICH WOULD ALLOW GRASS TO GROW THROUGH IN LINE WITH CONSERVATION POLICY The meeting opened with an introduction by Cllr Paul Hornby who referred back to the meeting held on 27th April outlining proposals to repair, make good and keep certain areas (namely The Old Pool area and opposite the Old Red Lion) viable for additional parking which would be in keeping with the CDC policy of Conservation Area enhancement and protection in Wardington.
