High above the beautiful Cotswolds, frothy white clouds scudding across a bright sky, a patchwork of fields studded with mellow stone houses below, tied to the outside, yes the outside, of a plane its engines drumming beneath me, yelling at the top of my voice, “I can’t believe I am doing this!”

Wing walking is sheer, wonderful, awe- inspiring lunacy.

My face literally flapping, air rushing towards me as we bank round to the right and then, stomach lurching, into a nose dive.

It was over all too soon, but the sense of exhilaration will remain with me for a very long time.

Katharine House Hospice is the most amazing place, giving wonderful care to people at their most vulnerable.

I am so glad to have been able to raise funds to support its ongoing work and would like to thank everyone who sponsored and encouraged me.

This experience has demonstrated to me that, with the power of people behind you, it really is possible to achieve more than you imagined possible.

My fund stands at over £2000 and people are still donating. If you didn’t get round to doing so, my Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/denise-stear  is still open, so it is not too late.
