Our first Wardington Garden Club 2023 visit is on Thursday May 25 at 6.30
It is to the garden of Richard and Daphne Preston
Richard will put an A Frame on the pavement to make it easy to find.
There is parking on site for 6 cars. Others can park on the street.
Richard came and gave us a very interesting talk about the history and development of Primrose Garden at our annual meeting in March.
Now we have the chance to see it for ourselves. Other Garden Clubs tell me it is well worth seeing.
Tea and a slice of Daphne’s cake will be provided.
Could you let me know beforehand if you are coming so Daphne will have an idea of numbers.
Richard sent me a message yesterday to warn us that Blanford Flies may be present when we visit. They can cause some irritation to some people so he suggests trousers/slacks to cover ankles just in case.
No problem if you want to go direct to Steeple Aston or you can meet with others outside Wardington Memorial Hall by 5.45 latest
A few members have not yet paid their 2023 sub. It remains at £5 a person.
Guests are welcome but, if they are not joining, I will have to ask them for the full cost of the visit. This is £7.50.
Hope to see you next Thursday evening
