Robert Harwood’s book launch

Monday 2nd December saw Robert Harwood launch his autobiography entitled ”My Life in Service” at the Plough in Upper Wardington. Attended by Neil Gadsby, Chairman and Founder of The Katharine House Hospice and large numbers of villagers, the event was great fun and very well supported. Mr Gadsby gave a very warm speech of thanks to Robert and Robert replied with a very moving tribute to all who had helped in publishing the book. Robert's commitment and dedication to Wardington was clearly greatly appreciated by all who attended however his popularity within the community may well be dimmed once everyone reads what he's written about them in the book!

Messy play at Wardington Waddlers

The little ones enjoyed some painting this week and thankfully for us, it wasn't as messy as it could have been! Snack time was boosted by some delicious ginger christmas biscuits, baked by 3 year old Theo (with a little help from mummy - although Hannah informs me the kitchen suffered a little!). We were joined this week by Jane from Dotty Hen who had some beautiful gifts for the ladies...it helped to get the Christmas shopping started! Don't worry, if you missed out, you can order via their website: http://www.dottyhen.com/ We hope to have some Christmas activities over the next two weeks to get us all in the spirit. Our last session before Christmas will be on the 19th

Community led plan update: draft questionnaire started

After a break over the summer the community led plan steering committee met again on 20/11/13. Our aim for the next few months is to create the questionnaire that will be sent round the village. This questionnaire then forms the basis for the community led plan, which we aim to complete next year. We will be compiling minutes of our meetings so people can follow our progress. We are very interested in input and feedback from the Wardington parish. To see what we have been up to you can read the minutes here: 131120 Wardington CLP meeting minutes (131125).

The Wardington Waddlers toddler group got off to an excellent start on Thursday, with a fantastic turnout from both Wardington and surrounding villages. We hope everyone enjoyed it and will join us again next week. Please help spread the word as we need all of your support to keep running.
