The fête opens at 2pm today!

Summer has returned just in time for this afternoon's fête. Please do come along for 2pm when Mrs Phillips will officially open the event.  Everything is set up for a great afternoon so please do come and join in. Cream teas with scones and cake Wardington Manor is looking beautiful, ready for the fête.

Reminder – Fête and Horticultural Show on Saturday

Come on Saturday at 2pm to the Manor gardens for the Wardington Fête and Horticultural Show. The fête will be opened at 2pm by Mrs Phillips, Wardington's centenarian. Please enter the Horticultural Show - bring your garden and kitchen produce to the Manor between 9:30 and 11:30 am on Saturday morning and join in. This is the first year the Fête and Horticultural show have been combined so please give it your full support and make Saturday a really fun day. Calling all men! Get baking your Rock Cakes! Another attempted break-in

There was an attempted car break-in on Saturday 18th August at Oat Cottage, Williamscot. A car had the lock forced out of the door. Please be extra vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to the police immediately.

Wardington Fete – Saturday 1st Sept.

Wardington Fete & Horticultural Show will be on Saturday 1st September from 2 - 5pm in the gardens of the Manor. Mrs Evelyn Phillips will open the fete at 2pm. Attractions include Horticultural classes, Morris Dancers, Bulb Stall, Cream Teas, Tombola, Games, Cake Stall, Pimms & strawberries. To raise money for Dogs for Good and the Memorial Hall. There will be a dog and handler from Dogs for Good at the fete. This year's fete is kindly sponsored by Mansion Hill Vets of Middleton Cheney. Download the poster here.  

Road closure Upper Wardington 22nd to 24th October 2018

Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice – S14 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Temporary Road Closure– at Wardington, Thorpe Road A request has been received from Thames Water for a temporary road closure to apply to a length of Thorpe road as described above whilst essential water works are carried out. A temporary Notice is being made by Oxfordshire County Council to implement the temporary restriction and will operate from  22nd October 2018 – 24th October 2018 Please note that Notices for urgent works can last up to 5 consecutive days only. Suspicious men seen in village

Two men wearing balaclavas were seen yesterday, Sunday 12th August, around Stud Farm Close. There hasn't been any report of a crime being committed, however residents should be aware and should report any suspicious activity to the police.
