Wardington Playground – Urgent Help Needed to Spread Woodchips

Wardington Playground New Trim Trail Urgent Help Needed to Spread Woodchips The new Trim Trail, funded by the Parish Council, is now installed. The official safety inspection will be on Wednesday July 5. Once this is successfully completed the fencing will be removed and the Trim Trail can be opened. For it to pass the safety inspection we have to spread woodchips across the area. These will be arriving on site next Wednesday, June 28. Many thanks to Councillor George Page for looking after the delivery for us. Between Thursday June 29th and Tuesday July 4th, volunteers are urgently needed for spreading the woodchips. The Banbury Guardian has asked for a photo of Captain Tom's Flag. We are asking for all villagers who can to come along to the bus shelter in the centre of the village (opposite the Memorial Hall) at 11am tomorrow, Sunday 30th April 2023, for a village photo with the flag. Carols on the Green, Wed 21st Dec at 6pm

This year's Carols on the Green is from 6pm to 6:45pm on Wednesday 21st December on the green in Upper Wardington. We will be accompanied by the Wardington Hand Bell Ringers as usual. Mulled wine and mince pies will be served. We will be collecting for the Friends of St Mary Magdalene - please bring some cash and give generously. The mulled wine and mince pies are free, however we greatly appreciate a donation of at least £1.50 each. The event will last for 45 minutes.

The development would link the new ‘Frontier Park’ warehousing with the M40 in the south, burying farmland once thought to be untouchable. The applicants say the industrial units would total 140,000 square metres and be used for storage and 24-hour distribution.
