Sunday Lunch at the Hare & Hounds

We are going to be doing our first Sunday lunch tomorrow. The Hare & Hounds reopens today at 4pm! Tim, Gus and the team will be pouring a free drink for the whole village to celebrate! There will be free finger food at the opening and for the first few days, with the kitchen opening for dining in September. Tim can't wait to welcome you all and raise a glass to the end of lockdown and the permanent re-opening of your village pub!

POSTPONED Opening of the Hare & Hounds

With regret the reopening of the Hare & Hounds is postponed due to Tim, your new landlord, contracting Covid. He is very disappointed with this turn of events, however is hoping that he will soon recover and be able to open in the very near future. Watch this space for updates!

Meet your new landlord

Meet Tim Steel, the new landlord of the the Hare & Hounds, who is a restaurateur from the West End in London with award winning sites in Mayfair and Covent Garden. He lives just a few miles from the village and will be hands-on making sure that the pub serves the needs of Wardington and its surroundings. Gus, a very experienced Kiwi publican who has had many senior positions at London pubs, will help run the site alongside Tim. He has also relocated up here and lives just south of Brackley. There will be fantastic traditional pub food, with ingredients sourced from local suppliers. Tim and Gus look forward to welcoming you on the 17th of August with a free
