Following the shock announcement of the closure of the Stagecoach 200 Service, the Parish Council has been in discussion with ABILITY and other Parish Councils between Banbury and Daventry. ABILITY already run a community bus service for Cropredy, Claydon, Mollington and the Bourtons. It has become very popular and works well. Users enjoy the exceptional service they receive.

There are 3 different membership categories:

  • Pick-up and Drop-off from home
  • Pick-up at a local point
  • Pick-up at a bus stop

If you have a Concessionary Bus Pass you can travel free

Lynn Hinch, the Director of ABILITY has been to talk to people in Wardington.

Although the closure of the 200 Service through Wardington has been put on hold, it’s long term future must be in doubt. The Parish Council consider a personalised community bus service is an exciting alternative.

If it interests you, or someone you know, give it a try.
