A361 CLOSED at Wardington 3rd-7th June 2018

Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice – S14 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Temporary Road Closure – Wardington, Banbury Road (A361) In the interests of public safety, it will be necessary for Oxfordshire County Council to close the road as detailed above in order to facilitate routine surface dressing. A temporary Notice is being made to implement the temporary closure and will operate from 03 June 2018. The anticipated completion date is 07 June 2018. Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for those frontages within the closure area, subject to the progress of the works and liaison with the works supervisor.   A copy of the drawing showing the extent of the closure. Yamaha guitar for sale

Very nice acoustic guitar for sale (one very careful owner, hardly been played) a YAMAHA F370 (retailing at £173 minus case) which I am happy to sell for £150 to include a very nice soft case which was bought separately. Proposed new J11 services – AGAIN?!

Apologies for those who have seen this item already - we are re-posting it as the auto-email notifying you of new posts has been offline for a few days. Please do read this very important message. Most residents of Wardington will have received a further letter from Cherwell Council planning department about amendments to the application for a new service station on the A361 at J11 of the M40. The letter states that the layout of the buildings has been altered and the previously proposed hotel removed. 2018 NEWS FROM CROPREDY TENNIS CLUB – EVERYONE’S GAME

A few facts to consider when deciding whether or not to comment: There is a large Premier Inn already at J11, and Ermont Way service station is a few meters beyond this.

Spring Clean 2018 – Saturday 7th April

The annual Wardington Spring Clean will take place on 7th April 2018, though the equipment will be available from Easter Monday at Barn Farm plants. Filled refuse sacks and equipment should be returned to Barn Farm Plants no later than Monday 9th April. Any questions should be directed to Lexi Gordon-Finlayson on 01295 758117.

Wine Bluff – Majestic Special Offer

Thanks to everyone who came to this year's Call My Wine Bluff on Saturday evening in the Memorial Hall. It was a really enjoyable evening with six delicious wines to taste, supplied by Majestic Wine in Banbury. The evening featured three "bluffers", Clive Hunt, Nigel Bankes and Matt from Majestic, each of them trying to persuade us that their description of the wine we were tasting was accurate. There were many laughs, much wine consumed and a very close result in the end. The winners by a single point were "The Snackers" comprising James and Caroline Wild and Mark and Deborah Page.
