Quiz Night 2024 – The Friends’ Fish & Chips & Quiz 26th April 2024

The Friends of St Mary Magdalene, Wardington, would like to invite you to join them for a QUIZ & Fish & Chips on 26th April 2024 at 7pm Wardington Memorial Hall. Come along for a fun-filled evening. Folk Music Session Night at the Hare & Hounds this Thursday, 21st March

Folk Music Session Nights are a fun and relaxed, with a welcoming local music group. Everyone is invited to enjoy the music, or join in if they want to share a song/tune (all abilities welcome).   The next night is this Thursday 21st March, starting at 7.30pm at The Hare & Hounds, and every month on the third Thursday of each month.    

Wardington Garden Club – AGM Tuesday 26th March at 7.30pm

Do you enjoy looking at gardens? Did you know Wardington has a Garden club? We have about 5 garden visits a year and an AGM on 26th March. Most garden visits take place between April & September on a Tuesday early evening. If you would like to join or find out more, please contact Malcolm Patterson theoldgranary5@gmail.com or Ginny Steven ginny@asteven.com The AGM is on Tuesday 26th March at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall. Come along for a glass of wine, enter the raffle and sign up. Membership £10 per year which entitles you to 10% off at Farnborough Garden Centre. No gardening knowledge required - just enthusiasm!

With just a couple of factual inaccuracies (maybe they looked up The Plough in Warmington?), it's a very informative tour around our home, including a reminder of how very old the church is.  

URGENT: Comments for Huscote development close 19th Jan

An application for 140,000 m2 of warehousing and other commercial development off the A361 has been made and comments close on the 19th January. This is another application to cover Huscote Farm with warehouses and offices. One can assume that the developer will continue to apply time and time again until we get bored of objecting. Carols on the Green, Wed 20th Dec at 6pm

This year's Carols on the Green is from 6pm to 6:45pm on Wednesday 20th December on the green in Upper Wardington. Mulled wine and mince pies will be served, along with hot chocolate, stollen and sausage rolls! We will be collecting for the Friends of St Mary Magdalene - please bring some cash and give generously. The drinks and food are free, however we greatly appreciate a donation of at least £2 each. The event will last for 45 minutes.
