Warning from Thames Valley Police

Over the past few weeks there have been a number of thefts of money and credit cards from purses and wallets where the victim has been approached and asked for change. Victims are usually elderly. They will have come out of a store where they have used their card and the suspects will have been close to see the PIN being entered. The suspects will then approach the victim outside the store, waving money and either speaking very broken English or in a foreign language. A shed was broken into on the main road Wardington on Tuesday 23 May between 5pm and 11pm. A generator and pressure hose was taken. Message from Thames Valley Police re Theft in Wardington

Theft from a Barn occurred between Wednesday 9th January at 3pm and Wednesday 16th January at 12.45pm in Wardington. A large van was thought to have been used. A hedge was damaged nearby and it is thought the van drove through the hedge and across a field. A neighbour saw 2 males acting suspicious in the village on Monday one was described to have a beard. If anyone saw anything or has any information please telephone Banbury Rural Police Team on 101 with information or 999 for immediate police response.
