Parish Council AGM Minutes (May)

Minutes of the Annual Meeting of Wardington Parish Council held on Tuesday 19th May 2015 at 7.00pm in Wardington Memorial Hall In Attendance:  Mr G Page, Mr N Bankes, Mrs A Pascoe, Mr M Patterson, Mr M Hickman (Clerk) Apologies: Mr K Atack (District Councillor), Mr G Martin Mr Murray and Mr Fenermore stepped down at the end of the last term. The Chairman expressed his thanks for their service which, in Mr Fenemore’s case, extended over more than 30 years. His experience will be missed. Minutes of the Previous Meeting (May 13th 2014): These were agreed, signed and entered into the minutes book in June 2014 to prevent data loss. 1. Mobile Library Timetable

Following a recent review of the mobile library service, Oxfordshire County Council have identified that they can better serve the needs of people who find it difficult to get to library buildings by joining up our mobile services and providing better stopping places with longer stops. The new routes and timetables will be introduced on Monday 6th July 2015.   The mobile library will stop in Wardington at: The Old School on 10:00 on Wednesday 15th July (departing 10:20) and then every two weeks henceforth

HS2 Implications for Wardington, Williamscot & Coton

Briefing Session and Discussion Tuesday May 19 in the Memorial Hall at 7.30pm The construction of HS2 will have major traffic implications for the Parish. At 7.30pm on Tuesday May 19 the Parish Council will lead a discussion on HS2. It will outline the approach it is taking and listen to the concerns and ideas of those present. It is likely an action group will need to be formed to help take matters forward. This meeting will follow immediately from the Parish Council AGM which starts at 7.00pm Please come along. Spring Litter Picking in Wardington

Spring Litter Picking in the Village Can you help? A small group has volunteered to litter pick again this year. We almost have the village covered but two of our stalwarts (Patricia & Greg Peters ) have moved away. They covered Upper Wardington from the Plough onwards. Amanda Pascoe will do what she can but needs some support. It doesn’t take long. A lot can be achieved in an hour or so. It can be done anytime to suit you in the first week in May.
