Sadly the Show, advertised in the Warbler and due to take place on Saturday September 2, is cancelled. Andrew Pearson has been taken seriously ill. Jane and Andrew do all the organising and most of the considerable work involved in running the event. They cannot now do so. We all wish Andrew well and send Jane our very best wishes. Sadly one of the row of four lime trees in the Churchyard was recently identified as being seriously diseased with a fungus and so possibly dangerous. As a result it was felled this week. There is now a large stack of wood in the corner behind the Old School. It is in manageable lengths for anyone who wishes to collect it for further splitting and cutting down further into logs. A donation into the offertory box just inside the south door would of course be much appreciated.
Evelyne Phillips will be 99 years old on the 5th of August. Anybody who would like to call in to Evelyne's house for tea and cake between 2 and 5pm is warmly invited.
