Wardington Village Cinema to go ahead on Friday!

Thank you to everyone who has let us know they will be attending the cinema event on Friday (9th Feb).  We now have 24 people confirmed to attend, which should ensure we cover the costs of the hire of the equipment and the licence. So we will continue with screening Victoria & Abdul as originally planned. But it is still not too late to let us know if you plan to attend so we can ensure we purchase enough ice-creams for the half time interval. We look forward to seeing you.

Please book now, to avoid cancellation of Wardington Village Cinema!

The Wardington Village Cinema is this Friday (9th February), but we have only 10 people confirmed to attend!  Therefore, we are in danger of needing to cancel the event.  Please let us know tomorrow (Tuesday) if you plan to attend, so we can establish if we can go ahead with the screening of Victoria and Abdul. email wardingtoncinema@hotmail.com or call Sam 01295 750 871 or Paul 01295 758 855

Diesel spill

There has been a red diesel spill into the stream running through the village. There is a strong smell the entire length of the stream and a film of diesel covering the water. We have been advised by the Environment Agency to keep all animals clear and they are currently investigating the source of the spill. This is a very serious matter and it particularly affects livestock and pets. If any residents have any knowledge of how to best clean up the mess, please can they contact any member of the Parish Council.
