CAROL SINGING IN WARDINGTON – Thurs. 20th Dec. 6pm

The Friends of St. Mary Magdalene, Wardington, are pleased to announce that we will once again be staging our festive sing-song: In Upper Wardington on the Old Pool Green on Thursday 20th December 2018 6.00 – 6.45pm Carols around the brazier Mulled wine, mince pies and hot sausage rolls. We will be accompanied by the Wardington Hand-Bell Ringers and song sheets of well-known carols will be available. Please bring along a torch and join us in celebrating the festive season. We will be collecting money for the Friends of St Mary Magdalene to help look after our beautiful church. Please give generously.

Volunteers needed in Williamscot

Gates down Church Walk

At the most recent Wardington Parish Council Meeting, Jan Funnell raised the problem of the gates down church walk (the pathway down the hill opposite the church.) On occasions the small, old, kissing gate has been taken off its hinges and has had to be replaced on its hinges. More importantly, further down church walk, on the left, a gate gives access to the field, but this gate does not give access to the field for walkers as it is not part of the public footpath. On occasions cattle have escaped because the gate has been left open. The chain and padlock installed to ensure the gate remains shut have been removed, again allowing the cattle to escape. There is

Reminder – Fête and Horticultural Show on Saturday

Come on Saturday at 2pm to the Manor gardens for the Wardington Fête and Horticultural Show. The fête will be opened at 2pm by Mrs Phillips, Wardington's centenarian. Please enter the Horticultural Show - bring your garden and kitchen produce to the Manor between 9:30 and 11:30 am on Saturday morning and join in. This is the first year the Fête and Horticultural show have been combined so please give it your full support and make Saturday a really fun day. Calling all men! Get baking your Rock Cakes! Thames Valley Police community meetings

The community forum group is an opportunity for you to have a voice when it comes to policing your community! The purpose of these meetings is for you to help us understand what really matters to you. Our aims are to build community resilience and take early action to resolve local priorities.
