Objection to Application No. 19/00128/HYBRID

Wardington Parish Council has already objected to the above application. In summary our objections to the proposed development are: It does not conform with the stated aims for ‘Banbury 15’ in the CDC Local Plan It will increase traffic volumes and congestion well beyond that envisaged in the CDC Local Plan for the site. This will put more pressure on M40 Junction 11, the A361 in both directions, roads in and out of Banbury and villages to the north in Oxfordshire and South Northants. As a result Wardington Parish Council continues to object strongly to the Application. Should it be approved, we want mitigating measures for Wardington, Williamscot and Coton imposed on the developer and the relevant authorities as conditions

Wardington Garden Club

Everyone wants the Club to continue Jane Pearson will not be continuing as Secretary for reasons we all understand. She and Andrew will remain Members Jane was thanked by everyone and was presented with a very nice bottle by Bridget As a result of the request for new volunteers Bridget will take responsibility for arranging visits with the help of Norman and Jane Hudson. Other Members are asked to help with ideas and recruiting potential new Members. The point was made that guests are always welcome to our visits and meetings The final copy of the Programme for 2019 is shown below As

This family run business provided 8 different wines for attendees to enjoy, together with a case of wines for the winning team and a generous donation of a fabulous raffle prize. 10 teams took part in the evening and featured three “bluffers” from the village, Catherine Jenkinson, Linda Ayers and Simon Gibbs each of them trying to persuade attendees that their description of the wine was the correct one for the wine being tasted. Wardington Memorial Hall – volunteers required!!

Wardington Memorial Hall is a well used community asset.  To ensure that the Memorial Hall is well maintained and fully funded, a number of volunteers donate some their spare time to make this possible. A vacancy has arisen for the voluntary position of Chair and a new voluntary position of Vice Chair.  The current Chair will be moving from the village, hence the vacancy. Chair  The function of the Chair is to arrange and chair quarterly meetings of the Management Committee who act in a voluntary capacity to ensure the hall is well maintained and well used.  Participating committee members undertake a number of key roles and responsibilities to help with the running of the hall (e.g. Treasurer).  The Chair
