The Friends of St Mary Magdalene, Wardington invite you to join them for an evening of light-hearted entertainment, good wine, good food and good company, kindly sponsored by North Oxfordshire Wines, on Saturday 30th March 2019 at 7pm for 7:30pm start in Wardington Memorial Hall If you haven't been to this event before then do come and join in - it's really good fun. You are welcomed with a drink before forming teams of approximately six people. Three 'Bluffers' will then describe the wine you're drinking and your team has to decide who is telling the truth. The Friends of St. Mary Magdalene, Wardington, are pleased to announce that we will once again be staging our festive sing-song: In Upper Wardington on the Old Pool Green on Thursday 20th December 2018 6.00 – 6.45pm Carols around the brazier Mulled wine, mince pies and hot sausage rolls. We will be accompanied by the Wardington Hand-Bell Ringers and song sheets of well-known carols will be available. Please bring along a torch and join us in celebrating the festive season. We will be collecting money for the Friends of St Mary Magdalene to help look after our beautiful church. Please give generously.

A361 Proposed 30mph Speed Limit Extension & Puffin Crossing

Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make changes on the A361 Banbury Road in Wardington, the changes are for road safety reasons and to specifically help mitigate the expected increase in traffic (specifically HGVs) linked to the HS2 construction works: A361 Banbury Road: to extend the 30mph speed limit  northwest of the Hare & Hounds PH by 68 metres, in place of the current 50mph, and to install a Puffin crossing (signal controlled for use by pedestrians) approximately 75m* south of the southern junction of the unnamed road leading to Edgcote. * dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the feature.
