Village Spring Clean REMINDER – Saturday 8th April 2017

JOIN OUR LOCAL SPRING CLEAN Saturday 8th April 2017 Volunteers to meet at Barn Farm Plants between 10:00am – 10:30am All equipment for the Clean-up provided. No Cars to be left in the car park during the clean. Join the ‘Spring Clean’ weekend and let’s clean up our village. The Spring Clean is organised by the Environmental Services team at Cherwell District Council who provide everything except for the labour. That is left to the willingness of the local parishioners to get the better of the litter louts and to clean up with a personal touch. Please help and enjoy a few hours litter-picking to make the village where we live more beautiful. We want to attack the blight of litter and

SEVERE WEATHER AND GENERAL EMERGENCY PLAN PARISH OF WARDINGTON   Introduction Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) have recommended that parishes formulate a severe weather/emergency plan which is based upon looking after the elderly, sick and infirm who may need to get to a doctor/ surgery/ hospital in an emergency. Wardington Parish Council have formulated a simple, basic plan that would be readily available for ALL parishioners in a genuine case for the need of practical assistance – and not just for severe winter weather.  SEVERE WEATHER PLAN In the event of the roads being closed by snow, volunteers 4x4s are available for transportation of any ill parishioner to the nearest Rendezvous point [R.V] for an Ambulance. ACV Nomination for the Pond – Decision Notice

Asset of Community Value Nomination - Decision Notice The Pond, Thorpe Road, Upper Wardington, Banbury Oxfordshire. (ACV035) We have been advised by Cherwell District Council that the nomination of the pond for ACV status has been unsuccessful. Decision Notice attached. acv_pond_decision  In addition we have received a letter from Mr George Page stating that he will no longer be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the pond. gp_pond_disclaimer Mr Page, who had maintained the upkeep of the Pond for the last twenty years plus, wanted it made known that as from the 1st September 2016 he has relinquished all upkeep and maintenance of the Pond.
